Is yoga suitable for me?
I've never practiced yoga. Is this ok?
Yes!! At Living Flow Yoga we believe yoga is for everyone and have a variety of classes for you to explore. We do have different class types however encourage you to try the different classes and teachers to find what resonates for you. A good start is our Beginners Yoga offering.
I'm not flexible, can I still do yoga?
Yes, we all start somewhere. Yoga is about so much more than just flexibility. Come along and discover the many benefits of yoga; calming, revitalising, relaxing, gaining physical and mental strength and flexibility, finding peace of mind and so much more…
Can my kids practice yoga or just watch?
Only children aged 16 and over are welcome to attend yoga classes with a parent or guardian. Sorry, we don’t have a suitable area for children to watch.
I'm pregnant. Can I still attend?
Yes. We do recommend getting clearance from your Health Care Professional first. Our Pregnancy Yoga class is a great place to begin and is open to all stages of pregnancy. (Due to Covid-19 limitations we are not offering live-stream pregnancy yoga. If you are practiced yogi, please email us before you join a live-stream class.)
When can I join the Mums and Bubs class?
(Due to Covid-19 limitations we are not offering live-stream Mums and Bubs classes.)We suggest waiting six weeks post birth. Then come along and enjoy a yoga practice in a relaxed environment. It’s okay if you need to feed or change a nappy, this is your time to start moving your body, interact with your baby and connect with some other mothers. Your bub must be pre-crawling and Dads are welcome to attend too!. (Sorry, there is no ramp access for prams.)
Your first visit
Do I need to bring my own mat?
Please bring your own mats and props until Covid-19 restrictions ease
We have complimentary mats available for use. Alternatively feel free to bring your own mat along to practice. (If you don’t have a mat at home for your live-stream practice, you can use a towel or quality rug with some texture for grip.)
What do I wear?
Wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in.
What time should I arrive?
Please arrive 10 minutes before class start time to meet your teacher and settle in to the studio or live-stream class. Classes start as per scheduled times.
Live-stream payments and options
How much is a live-stream classes?
All passes and memberships include access to in-studio and live-stream classes. Simply book your class via our timetable and pay online to access your chosen live-stream offering. We will email you 10 minutes prior to the class with a link for our Zoom (online platform) live-stream.
A casual pass for live-stream or an in-studio class is $22 (Concession $19)
What sort of payment do you accept for live-stream?
Via Mind Body Online, you pay by card. Simply click on the Live-Stream class of your choice on the timetable and you’ll be able to purchase a pass or a casual pass. You’ll receive a zoom link 10-minutes prior to the class start time.
Do I have to pre-book before joining a live-stream class?
Yes, absolutely. Book in via our timetable or Mind Body app and we will send you a link for the live-stream class 10 minutes prior to the class start. Be sure to download the Zoom app onto your device or on your desktop.
Pass Options and Payments
I'm new to the studio - which is the best pass for me?
Our 6 Week Intro Offer is Unlimited Yoga for 6 Weeks – This pass offers a bigger taster to really feel and notice the many benefits of a regular practice
OR purchase our casual class pass for $22 (or $19 concession).
Can I suspend my Introductory Pass?
Sorry, no. The Introductory Pass runs for consecutive 6 weeks. We suggest starting when you have the time to dive in and make the most of your pass.
What do you mean by 'Unlimited Yoga'?
It means you can practice as many yoga classes as you like, whenever you like. In fact we’d love for you to come to as many classes as you can to trial the different class styles and teachers during the course of your Pass. (Sorry, unlimited yoga classes does not include our workshops or events.)
How do I purchase the Introductory Offer?
Please purchase your Introductory Offer online. Whether you’re attending an in-studio class or live-stream, we recommend you arrive 10 minutes prior to the class so you can settle in.
What sort of payment do you accept in-studio?
We require you to book in and pay online prior to arrival. When Covid-19 restrictions ease we may accept cash and credit / debit cards again.
Do I have to pre-book before attending a class?
Please pre-book all classes and workshops using the website or the Mind Body Online App. Sorry, no walk ins.
Do you have Concession pricing?
Yes we do! Concession rates are available for full-time students, pensioners and seniors only. Please email us to organise this rate. You may be required to provide ID proof of your requested concession rate.
Can I buy a Gift Voucher?
Yes! Purchase a Gift Voucher online or purchase from the studio.
Where are you located?
We are located at Suite 5/6-8 Holden St Ashfield. We are on the corner of Holden Street and Norton Street, right next door to Slater & Gordon.
Entrance to the studio is via the terrace where you will see our Living Flow Yoga A-frame sign.
Is there parking?
Parking can be found on the surrounding streets or the rooftop of Ashfield Mall which offers 3 hour free parking.
What facilities are available?
We have change rooms, storage cubes for your personal belongings and herbal tea available. Bathrooms are on the premises, however we do not have showers.
Are the classes heated?
The studio is heated in winter to a comfortable temperature. In hot weather the studio is air-conditioned.
Can I pop in at any time to see the studio?
Our studio opens 30min before each class start time so if you’d like to visit our space we suggest coming along around class times.
Do I have to pre-book before attending a class?
Yes please. With current Covid-19 restrictions you will need to book your class or workshop online. Plan your schedule by using the website or the Mind Body Online App.
